Power At Any Price?

Lately my husband thinks I should put my thoughts to post. I'm not so sure. Manipulating the words of the English language is such an easy thing for me to do. My husband is a mechanical engineer. Hence the fabulous title of today's post. How many people would understand that words have power but talk is cheap. President Barack H. Obama is making friends with some of the worlds most horrible dictators. He's bound to get very dirty now. What a dumb politician. It seems that the white man has been counted out. But not for long because no one type of heritage or population on earth is allowed to prosper at too much of a price. So there should be no power at any price because power is not for sale but it's been up for grabs that all the pundits in the world won't quite understand of this president and his counselors "moves". How many more will be offended before President Barack H. Obama will understand that the "little" man won't take any more at any price of his overtly inane moves. It's only a matter of time before this whole white house crew is long gone. What will be left? Hopefully both my husband and I will be around to read about it.

Here I Am At The Blogger Dashboard

I've been thinking and thinking that I don't have many people to talk and/or with so I'm kind of a conversant brain--isolated at home while Mr. H is out playing with his modeler friends and his model airplanes.

I watched an interesting to me but terribly uninteresting or so it seemed to Mr. H movie. It was the "Duchess". It had a reasonably "happy" ending as told in words at the end of the movie. It also was full of children, money, politics and sex and it was set in distant time. Since it was colorful and seemed kind of a "just" movie. I did like it. It was a kind of "class" versus "duty" versus "freedom" versus woman versus man versus woman type movie with spectacular scenery from I would guess England. Although I do not know for sure.

Any how, it brought me back to my education. What is education worth to a woman or to a man? That is hard to quantify.

YTG showed up to exchange his hotrod for our more conventional car in order to pursue his way in this world. He will interview for jobs and he will graduate this June 13th to be specific.
Hopefully all will go well for him in this world. But what a time to graduate. I expect he may have to pursue more education. This sort of thing happened to me, too. No jobs for myself upon my graduation from college so I went back for more with a loan and a part-time job. Then I was a "success" with a teaching position and a student loan that was forgiven in part for every one of the two years I lasted in the profession. I repaid that loan in about five years after I received my credential by doing clerical work that required no higher education. Ah life, it is full of irony.

Republicans on the Sidelines

For Republicans who have for the last 25 years have for 17 years held the highest office in the land along with many smaller and less notable offices, tis indeed a pleasure to stay on the sidelines and watch the Democrats in action. It's so much fun!

Their imblogios delight me. As for failing in the Presidency, there is no way to fail, for the President isn't the government the people are.

Yankee Doodle Dandy, Stuck a Feather in His Cap and Called It "Macaroni"

Macaroni is one of the cheapest of all craft possibilities. Buy a bag. You can string the pasta or paste it on a piece of heavy grade paper. Kindergarteners or maybe even pre-schoolers love the stuff. At one time it actually was colored in the bag. Macaroni is fun to play with and create with. Mosaics galore can bring out the artist in just about anyone. Someday I'll place example on this blog of my own creation....
